Buyer protection

You pay the whole amount into the MASANETO settlement account, not to the seller. The money stays there until you confirm that you have received the item. The seller hands the item over only after the platform has confirmed the payment, so neither side has to trust the other with the money first.

After the handover you have 7 days to confirm receipt or to object on the auction page. If you do nothing, the handover counts as confirmed and the money is released to the seller.

An objection is examined by MASANETO, which looks at the auction description, the photos, the proof of handover and what both parties say. It decides on a refund to you, a payout to the seller or a partial refund. Until the decision the money stays in the settlement account.

A refund goes back to the payment method you used, in the amount the decision names: the whole payment or a part of it. Stripe returns a card payment in a few business days; a bank transfer is returned to the account it came from.

The protection covers the deal on the platform: an item that was not handed over, or that does not match the auction description. It does not cover a deal settled outside the platform, a change of mind after a confirmed handover, wear disclosed in the description, or an objection made after the 7 days. Bids are binding, so an unpaid deal is not protected either: it is cancelled and may lead to blocking.
